Attend on your own to support MA PGR

Thursday APR 3rd

Jamaica Plain, MA

Additional Update —Boston Firefighter/ USMC Iraq War Veteran Michael R. Kennedy, 33, West Roxbury (Boston)3 APR ’14

Cemetery Flag line:

Thursday, 3 April.

I am strongly advising those who plan to participate in the flag line at the cemetery to get there earlier than later, closer to 11:00/11:30 AM.

There were roads closed today that were not previously so advised; I would not want anyone to be shut out due to an unannounced closing for Thursday.

Attend on your own event:

MA PGR has been asked to participate in the funeral of Hero Fire Fighter Michael Kennedy.
This Hero died tragically after being rushed to the hospital from the scene of a 9-alarm fire on Beacon Street, in hopes his life could be saved. A fellow firefighter, Lt Walsh was also killed in the same blaze. Kennedy was assigned to Ladder 15, located just blocks from the fire that ultimately claimed his life.  He joined the force 6 ½ years ago. In addition to his service as a  fireman, Mike served in the US Marine Corps including a tour in Iraq and was based in Hadith.
Members are welcome to go directly to the MA stage or you may meet up with two CT PGR groups that will depart CT and meet in MA to proceed as a group.  CT PGR stage groups will then meet at the 1st rest stop on 95 once in MA to proceed together to final stage.
MA PGR has bee invited to form a Flag Line at the entrance to the cemetery to show our respect and honor the procession enters.  There is no PGR presence at the church.
