*** Honor Mission*** Francis E Hayes

U.S. Navy, WWII

Clinton, CT.

TUES NOV 26th 1300hrs

Patriot Guard and associates,

Sadly we are called to stand for Francis E. Hayes, who served our country honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII, may he rest in peace.

Francis worked for the U.S. Army Ordinance before enlisting in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He served in the Pacific Theater aboard the USS Baltimore as the Captain’s Yeoman. During his service on the USS Baltimore he earned five battle stars. In October 1944 he was transferred to the U.S. Naval Small Craft Training Center in San Pedro, CA, as a court recorder.

He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 6378, a member of the VFW, Post 9918, and an active member of the Westbrook Veterans Honor Guard.

We will provide a Flag Line at the church and cemetery for this Hero.

ASC Jack Casey will be RCIC and flags will be onsite.
