Note- this is one of two missions on the same day and about the same time with this one in Westbrook and the other in Moodus. Please choose the Mission that is best for you.

Sadly we are called to stand for Philip J. Mongillo Jr, who served our country honorably as a Pharmacists Mate Second Class, US Navy during WWII, may he rest in peace.

Mr. Mongillo was the recipient of the American Theater medal, Asiatic Pacific medal 1 star, Victory medal, Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon-1 star and the Purple Heart. He was also a survivor of Iwo Jima.

We will stage a Flag Line at the church and cemetery for this hero.

Sr. RC Jack Casey will be RCIC and have flags on site.
