Each one of us feel it is OUR honor to attend missions and events.  We do not seek recognition.  We do it because it is the right thing to do.  It may seem unusual, we are full of gratitude in doing what we do.  As Jean Baptiste Massieu said, “Gratitude is the memory of the heart.”  We never solicit expressions of gratitude from those we serve,.  However we do receive it.  That makes these acknowlegdements of gratitude even sweeter.  It is said, “Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”  We view each expression of gratitude as a gift and they fill our hearts to know did something to lessen the burden of those we serve.  Connecticut Patriot Guard consists of more than 1400 members throughout the state.  Our sharing of these receipts of gratitude and appreciation are for all to see, however because we have to many members, we posts these expression of gratitude gifts to share with them as well.  We do not operate as one, but rather together as the Connecticut Patriot Guard.
