Sadly we are called to stand for James Marvin, who served our country honorably in the US Army, US Navy and Hartford Police department, may he rest in peace. 

SPC Marvin was a 2004 graduate of Coventry High School. He was an accomplished Bag Piper and played with the Regional Police & Fire Pipe Band.  At the age of 17, he enrolled at the US Navy Great Lakes Training Center and went onto graduate as an air crewman at the Pensacola, FL Naval Station in 2005. After leaving the US Navy, he joined the National Guard in July of 2007 and served as a Specialist with the 102nd Alpha Company in Norwalk. In 2008 he graduated from the Class of 2008-01, Hartford Police Academy and has served in the Patrol Division of the Hartford Police Department. In 2009, James was activated by the CT National Guard and served in the Enduring Freedom Campaign in Afghanistan where he was highly decorated. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 58 in Topeka, KA.

We will stand a Flag Line at the Church and Cemetery. 
Sr. RC Jack Casey will be RCIC and have flags on site.
