He served in the European Theater of Operations with Battery C, 581st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion as an Automotive Mechanic. He served in the Rhineland and Central Europe. He was awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, the Army of Occupation Medal of Germany, The Good Conduct Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal.

She had significant duty stations at Office of Naval Officer Procurement, Boston, MA; Naval Training School, Hunters College, Bronx, NY; Naval Training School (Yeoman Women), Cedar Falls,IA; Naval Frontier Base, Cape May, NJ; Staff Headquarters, 4th Naval District Receiving Station, Naval Base Philadelphia, PA; and Naval Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. She was awarded the Navy Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Wake is from 1400 to 1600 hours (2:00 to 4:00 pm) with Military Honors to follow. Burial will be private at a later date.

We will stand a Flag Line as the Veterans arrive at the Lodge. There will be Veterans from CT Army National Guard, residents of Rocky Hill Newington and West Haven Veterans facilities, Homeless Veterans Shelters, Elk Veterans, VFW and American Legion Posts. The Ceremony begins with the arrival of the Veterans from 1100 to 1200 hrs (11:00 am to 12:00 pm). We will then join in for the BBQ Lunch.
