The family of US Marine Corps Sgt. Daniel M. Vasselian, 27, has requested our presence at the funeral of their Fallen Hero.
   Sergeant Vasselian, 27, died Dec. 23, while conducting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He was ambushed as he was dismounting a Humvee during an operation for which he volunteered so as to keep his fellow platoon members out of harm’s way.
   It was Sgt. Vasselian’s third combat tour of duty, having served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He enlisted in the Marines in 2006.Â

   He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

The STAGING TIME for Thursday 2 January has be revised to 7:30 AM – 8:20 AM with the hope that members can actually arrive between 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM.
The reason for this is that is that town officials have decided to open our parking area for public parking. Getting their early will help secure a spot in proximity to the church
please use caution and allow for extra time due to road conditions.

We are urging all who can stand for a spell to do so beginning at 1:55 PM until 7:00 PM
(The family is expected to arrive at 2:00 PM)

Please stage/park on Park Ave beginning at Central St (NOT Central Ave)Â and extending to Pond St

We will then proceed on foot to the church and set up a flag line to honor the service of Sgt Vasselian and also his family.
