Sadly, we have been requested to stand a Flag Line for Gavin Williamson who was Active Duty US Navy.
Gavin proudly served in the United States Navy as a Fighting Seabee and completed a deployment with HM-15 from December 2019 to March 2020. He served as an Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist and his decorations included Navy Achievement Medal (NAM), two Battle “E”s with HM-15, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Rifle Marksman, and two Good Conduct Medals.”
We will stand a Flag Line at the funeral home for the service.
There is a possibility we may be asked to provide an escort and a Flag Line at the Cemetery (Col Ledyard Cemetery, 240 Mitchell Street, New London) but this is not confirmed at the time of the mission announcement.
SC Gregg Barratt will be RCIC and have flags on site.
