Patriot Guard and Associates:
Sadly, we are called to stand for Thomas Moran, US Army, Vietnam
Tom served in the 5th infantry in Vietnam as Light Weapons Infantryman and received: 2 Purple Hearts, A Bronze Star, The Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, The National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, The Army Commendation Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
Thomas lived a life defined by service, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family, his community, and his fellow veterans.
A proud Army veteran, military service was not simply a chapter of his life, it was a calling that continued long after he left active duty. Following his retirement, he devoted countless hours to helping fellow veterans navigate the VA system, ensuring they received the benefits and support they had earned through their service. His passion for serving veterans led him to found the East Granby Veterans Association, now the Northern CT Veterans Association, creating a lasting resource and community for local veterans.
Tom was a friend of mine as well as our own John “Gigalo” Butler.
We will provide an escort from the funeral home to the cemetery and a Flag Line Graveside. Flags will be onsite.
ASC Gregg Barratt will be RCIC (860-394-0732)
God Bless America, Our Troops and Our First Responders.
