NOTE: This mission is being posted one week ahead of time for planning and to also allow any member wishing to attend this mission on the Air Guard Base, who has NOT provided the below information, an opportunity to do so before end of day Monday the 30th.

 

The below invitation comes from the office of the Major General Francis Evon:

 

We would be honored if you would attend the Freedom Salute Welcome Home Ceremony in honor of the 103rd Airlift Wing, in addition to the 100th Anniversary with the unveiling of a commemorative designed C-130 aircraft. The ceremony will take place Saturday, February 4th, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. located at the Main Hangar, Bradley Air National Guard Base, 161 Rainbow Road, East Granby.

 

The significance of this ceremony is to pay recognition of their support to Operation Octave Quartz. This will be the first in a series of events the Wing will have to recognize its 100 years as a federally recognized National Guard Unit.

Any member wishing to attend this mission and who has NOT provided their drivers license and DOB must do so to me by the end of the day Monday the 30th.

Staging will occur promptly at 1430hrs at the entry gate to the Base located at 161 Rainbow Road, East Granby.  We will stage off to the right of the gate and proceed in as a group.  Please plan on arriving by 1330hrs for admission to the Base.

We will stand a Flag Line for the Welcome Home and ceremony.

SC Gregg Barratt will be RCIC and flag will be on site.
