Sadly, we are called to stand for Richard Kowalker, USMC, Vietnam.
Many of you may remember Richard and his horse Melody, who attended hundreds of Veterans services over many years and widely known as the “Riderless Horse Marine”. Picture of Richard and Melody is attached.
Sgt. Kowalker served as a Machine Gunner in Vietnam and was awarded The National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/4*, The Vietnam Service Medal with Device, Meritorious Unit Medal, Republic of Vietnam Unit Medal with Palm and Frame, and Rifle and Pistol Expert Badges
We will stand a Flag Line for the burial and Military Honors.
