Patriot Guard and associates,

Sadly we are called to stand for Samuel Reid Crute, who served our country honorably in the U.S. Air Force and as a CT Aux. State Trooper, may he rest in peace.

Samuel was a communications officer serving within the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He honorably served his country and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and was a past Post Commander of the VFW Post 2212 in Taftville. He also served his community as a Connecticut State Police Auxiliary Trooper

We will provide an escort with the family from Griswold to the State Veterans Cemetery and then a Flag Line at the cemetery for this Hero.

ASC Jack Casey will be RCIC and flags will be onsite.
