We have been asked to escort and attend the funeral for William Markavich, Sr., Sgt, US Marine Corps. He served from October 1965 to October 1968 as a Mortar Man in Service Company, Headquarters and Service Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC, and in Vietnam.
He was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, the Navy Presidential Unit Citation, the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation, the Republic of Vietnam Civil Actions Unit Citation, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
We will stand a Flag Line at the Church and also at the State Veterans Cemetery for his Interment.
ASC Jack Casey will be RCIC and Flags and water will be on hand.
