Patriot Guard and associates,
Sadly we are called to stand for Gaetano A. “Tom” Mazzarella who served our country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps/ Army National Guard in WWII and Korea, may he rest in peace.
Tom served in the US Marine Corps 1st Marine Div. “Old Breed” on Guadalcanal, Bougainville, Cape Gloucester, Peleliu, Tarawa and other Pacific Islands earning a Silver Star and Purple Heart. Â He was very proud of being a Marine and he and his brothers became local celebrities by visiting schools lecturing about their WWII experiences and taking part in local ceremonies
We will provide a Flag Line at the funeral home, escort to the cemetery and a Flag Line at the cemetery.
Sr. RC Jack Casey will be RCIC and have flags on site.
