Sunday, June 27th, 2021- The Hometown Foundation, Inc. & Bozzuto’s Inc. will be hosting a motorcycle ride and remembrance fundraiser for the New Haven Fire Department following the tragic fire which occurred on Valley Street, as well as the sudden loss of William McMillian.
The anticipated attendance for this honorable ride will be 100-500 individuals. This ride is being made possible in partnership with The New Haven Firefighters Union, IGA Grocery Stores, Fire & Iron Motorcycle Club, Because Of The Brave, Trantolo & Trantolo, Haymond Law, CT Charity Rides, and Local & State Law Enforcement.
The event will kick off at 8:00 am at Bozzuto’s Inc. Corporate offices located at 155 Schoolhouse Road in Cheshire, CT. The event will include a bike blessing, bagpipe ensemble, patriotic salute, and the ride will be police escorted. Food trucks and local vendors will be available on-site. Due to the magnitude of the event, all safety precautions will be taken. As a result, this ride is ONLY open to motorcyclists. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any vehicles besides those of law enforcement. We invite general spectators to join us for the kick-off as well as watching the ride from Route 10. The ride will kick off promptly at 10:00
am and will start and end at the Cheshire, CT location.
All funds raised will go directly to the New Haven Firefighter Benevolent Fund. The Hometown Foundation is asking for a $10.00
donation per rider. Passengers are an additional $10 donation. The Foundation welcomes donations of any amount. To pledge a donation and reserve your spot please visit: https://AHerosRide.givesmart. com.
We will Stand a Flag Line for the ride’s departure in Cheshire. Members are welcome to remain after the departure and await the return. Food will be available on site. Members who wish to participate in the ride check with the RC for further instructions.
