We are honored to have been invited to participate in a very special Honor and Remember Flag Presentation for Richard Tessman, US Navy.
Â
Seaman Apprentice Richard Carl Tessman was killed in Vietnam waters while serving on the USS Newport News.  On October 1, 1972 while providing artillery support to ground troops inland, there was an inboard explosion in her center 8″ gun of number two turret. Nineteen men were killed, Richard Tessman was one of them.
