Guilford, CT.

SUN OCT 20th 1500hrs

Patriot Guard and associates,

We are pleased to have been asked to participate in a special Military Appreciation day as part of the Shoreline Oktoberfest activities in Guilford. Of note, we were asked to participate by Bob Keiser who is the step-father of Capt. Andrew Pedersen-Keel who was tragically killed in action on March 11th.

All active and retired military, ceremony participants, Gold Star Families and Patriot Guard Riders will be offered free admission this day. The activities begin at noon on Sunday and all PGR members are welcome to attend prior to the Flag Line

The 1/2 hour ceremony will feature the following:

• An Honor Guard, Proclamation by the Guilford First Selectman, and a Proclamation by Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman.

• Reading of the names of the 65 Fallen Soldiers from Connecticut.

• Closing Prayer by Father James Shanley and Taps.

We will provide a Flag Line for this special ceremony.

State Captain Gregg Barratt will be RCIC and flags will be on site.
