Sean A. Collier, 26

Monday, April 22, 2013  2 PM

Patriot Guard and Associates:

This is a re-broadcast from MA PGR and is a priority for tomorrow.

There will be two MA Missions for this Hero: one tomorrow for the WAKE and another for the INTERMENT which is Wednesday.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Police Officer Sean A. Collier, 26, was murdered in the line of duty in a late night confrontation with the two men responsible for the Boston Marathon bombings.  On Thursday 18 April. He was shot multiple times in what many view as a despicable coldblooded assassination. He was a member of the MIT campus police force since January, 2012. Prior to that, Sean worked as a civilian employee with the Somerville Police department.

The funeral for Officer Collier was initially intended to be a private affair. However, an overwhelming outpouring of public sentiment has caused the family to change their plans. The family has requested that the Patriot Guard Riders be present.

WAKE:  The family of Officer Sean Collier has requested PGR presence at the wake.

 DATE/TIME: Monday, April 22, 2013 from 3 PM – 7 PM.

Please be at the funeral home no later than 2:00 PM to be able to form a flag line to honor Sean and also the bereaved as they arrive at the funeral home.

Note: Although the wake is scheduled to end at 7 PM, please anticipate a longer time.
