Patriot Guard and Associates;
We are proud to have been invited to participate in the Wreaths Across America program at CT State Veterans Cemetery 317 Bow La Middletown, CT 06457.
There are 2 staging times. Members can come to whichever stage they would like to.
0800 hrs will be the Distribution Stage where the Wreaths will be unloaded and taken out of the transport boxes and placed in piles in the various cemetery sections as directed by the Cemetery Staff and other Volunteers.
1100 hrs will be the Ceremony Stage. We will stand a Flag line during the Ceremony which starts at 1200 noon.
Parking will be on the CT Valley Hospital Property across the street from the Cemetery and shuttle buses will transport everyone to the cemetery. It is recommended that you arrive early to the parking area.
Handicapped placarded vehicles will only be allowed inside the cemetery as space permits. All others will take the shuttles. Signs and traffic direction persons will be on hand to direct you to parking. Flags will be on site for our flag line. Wreaths will be placed on the headstones following the ceremony.
Members are reminded that we will have our PGR Ceremony following the Distribution of Wreaths for OUR veterans. RC Mark A Brundage Sr will be in charge of the PGR Wreaths.
ASC Skip Petras and ASC Jack Casey will be RCIC’s for the flag line with flags on site.
Members are reminded to dress appropriately for the expected weather and are also reminded that Personal Weapons are not permitted on State Property.
