Attend on your own event:  This Saturday the 25th, 1300hrs, 119 Strawberry Street, Lisbon, CT

  • Many of you know our PGR Brother Christian Porter who is a very active in both PGR and Honor and Remember.  Christian lost his mother this past week and has invited folks to stop by and share friendship and refreshments.

From PGR member Greg York– we did a mission for his Father in law in Cheshire where the widow unfortunately tripped and fell while entering the funeral home:

  • “ I want to thank-you for all you and the P.G.R. did for our family that day. The procession was something to see, and I couldn’t get over the size of the flag line. Everyone is still talking about it!  As soon as I have further details, I will contact you, as the family, and the Fire Dept want to finish Ed’s last call. It will be a ride from the station straight to the cemetery, with probably just the family in attendance.”

Thank-you again for all that you did. Please pass the Thank-you’s to all involved.”

A few reminders:

  • If you have Full Flags (3×5) on your bike or vehicle and have not already let me know, please drop me an email so I can include you on Full Flag escorts notifications.
  • As we’ve heard, some of our membership is having issues receiving email from us, to help rectify that situation we’ve explored different avenues to deliver the mission messages. One we’ve successfully tested is via TXT to phones. If you would like to receive texts to your phone you must send a txt message to StateCaptain@CTPatriotGuard.org from your mobile device. To cut down on the amount you would receive via the text you will Only receive the Subject, and the information for the Staging.
  • Our own Jay “covered bridge “ Koonz writes the monthly CT PGR article for the “Connecticut Cruise News” newspaper, and he’s always looking for mission pictures. So if you take any, please friend him on facebook or email him (jaykoonz@comcast.net)
  • Many of you know our own PGR store leader Joanne “Dimples” Fuller.  Dimples will be heading off for some rest and retirement to Maine shortly and she has asked if anyone has an interest in taking over the store.  Should you have an interest and want more information, please contact her directly at Dimples5166@aol.com or 207-939-9196.

Again, thank you for all that you do and be sure to send your friends , family and potential  members to our website for information about PGR of CT.

Behind The Scenes Update

The goals for these posts: Behind the Scenes

You may have noticed that of recent the postings of our missions on this site have been running a little behind or even delinquent. This glitch and delinquency is directly related to my professional time commitments I am in the knee deep right now.

The time for things to be back on track is tentatively August 19, 2012.

What is important to note is everything here on the site has not changed. Our site has a strong foundation and more than adequate information to the public and members. As long as the members are on the state email distribution for mission announcements we are covered. I apologize for this glitch at this time. I am confident the situation will be resolved by the tentative projected time.

Remember….if you have questions or ideas, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks,
Carol Casey
