He was stationed with the 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, NC. He served from 18 June 2007 to 17 June 2011. He was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, the Navy Unit Commendation, the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, the Iraq Campaign Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 2 Stars, the NATO-ISAF Medal, and a Certificate of Appreciation.

The family of US Army WWII veteran Joseph A. (Red) Gadbois has requested our presence at the interment of their beloved hero. Red served our country in the US Army during WWII.  He was stationed in Guam.  Red also served as a Police Officer with the Webster Police Department for 12 years.

We have been invited by the Town of Branford to participate in the escort of The Wreaths Across America Convoy as it makes a stop at Branford.
We will provide a flagged vehicle escort from the I 95 Exit 55 off ramp to the Branford Fire Department 43 North Main St.
A flag line was also requested at the Fire Department to Welcome the convoy. 
We will stage the flagged escort vehicles at the commuter lot off of I 95 s exit 55. Staging time will be at 12:30pm. The convoy is expected at approx 1:30pm.
Those choosing to go directly to the firehouse for the flag line may do so. Flags will be available at the firehouse.

We will stage our vehicles at the Walmart parking lot 44 Prospect Hill Rd, East Windsor, Ct at 7:30 A.M. We will depart the staging area by 9 A.M. Our final destination will be the Parkman Elementary School where a ceremony will take place.
Enfield and East Windsor PD’s will be in charge of the convoy.
ASC Skip Petras will be the point of contact for the PGR.
As we will be on school property, Members are reminded that Personal Firearms are not permitted.
