We have been honored to be asked to attend the service for John Provost, IC3, US Navy, who served from September 1955 to September 1957 aboard the USS Tidewater, AD-31. John was Retired Deputy FireChief with the Bridgeport Fire Department with 22 years of service. He was President of the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 834 from 1983 to 1987, a member of IAFF from 1971 to 1993 and former member ofBridgeport Retired Firefighters.

We are honored to be invited to attend the Honor and Remember Flag Presentation Ceremony to honor Lawrence William McNichol, LCpl, US Marine Corps, who served from 3-1969 to 10- 1970 with MFWS-1, MWHG-1, 1ST MAW, III MAF. He was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation, the Republic of Vietnam Civil Actions Unit Citation and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

He was awarded the Navy Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign Medal, The European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal with 2 Stars.
