A new horse trailer will be presented to Rick Kowalker, SGT, USMC, to replace his trailer that was damaged prior to his last Riderless Horse in Wethersfield, CT. We regret that we will be unable to attend due to the Honor Mission in Windsor, CT at the same time.

This is an Attend On Your Own mission. We have been invited to attend in a Pasta Dinner fundraiser to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. The Polish Falcons Nest #307 is hosting this event. Cost is a $10.00 donation and it is being held at 33 Knowles Ave., Southington, CT, from 1400 to 1600 hrs. Knowing that everyone won’t be able to attend the Middlebury Mission, I am issuing an Attend On Your Own Mission for those who might be able to attend the Welcome Home for this Marine.

Kathy Vagasky was hit by a car in NY on Sunday while riding her bike.

She is in ICU on a ventilator.

She is an Army Vet, a paramedic, a member of American Legion 174 Oxford CT. and the Legion of Riders.

Fund raiser and trophies at The Valley Diner, Derby, CT (Rt. 34) on September 22^nd

A family has asked for our support of their Grandmother at her funeral and while not a Veteran, did some great work for our Military as well as several PGR members are part of the family.

“My Grandmother passed away this Sunday. She was 89 years old and a widow of my Grandfather. My Grandfather was a World War 2 & Korean War Veteran, serving the Navy for 41 years.
My Grandmother didn’t serve in the Military, but she did bake pies for the USO and sew patches on and hem the uniforms of my Grandfathers fellow servicemen. Many years ago, she once worked at the PX in Granby. She instilled pride in country and honor in all of us. My Father, her son Michael Burrows, is a Vietnam veteran with the Marine corp. My brother, her grandson Jarren Burrows is former Army and a PGR member. There are many other prior and current service members throughout our family (12 total).”
