James proudly and voluntarily served his country in the United States Army from 1963 to 1966. He attained the rank of Specialist Five and served as an Aircraft Armament Specialist, supporting aviation operations in the Vietnam theater. Assigned to the 118th Assault Helicopter Company, he was awarded the Air Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal in recognition of his honorable and dedicated service.

We will stand a Flag Line at the church and possibly the cemetery (TBD).

Sadly, we are called to stand for Kevin Chausse, USMC.

Keith served briefly in the Marine Corps before receiving an honorable discharge on November 24, 1978. He also served as a first responder on the Winsted Area Ambulance Association for nearly a decade, and received the Attendant of the Year award in 1994. Following his time on the ambulance, he volunteered for the Red Cross, where he helped coordinate blood drives and community shelters. Keith was more recently a member of the Brotherhood of United Bikers M.C., wherein he helped organize a number of charity runs, most notably their annual thanksgiving turkey handout.

We will stand a Flag Line at the Church and Cemetery.
