We are honored to have been asked to attend the Funeral Service of Robert Alexander Beasley, SGT., US Army, who served from 1948 to 1958. He served with Company G, 145th Infantry Regiment as a Light Weapons Non-Commissioned Officer. He was awarded the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Korea Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge and 1 Overseas Service Bar.
We will provide an escort from the Funeral Home to the Cemetery.

She was a WWII Wave who served from June 1944 to July 1947 in the Naval Reserve and from July 1948 to January 1949 in the US Navy. She had significant duty stations at Office of Naval Officer Procurement, Boston, MA; Naval Training School, Hunters College, Bronx, NY; Naval Training School (Yeoman Women), Cedar Falls,IA; Naval Frontier Base, Cape May, NJ; Staff Headquarters, 4th Naval District Receiving Station, Naval Base Philadelphia, PA; and Naval Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. She was awarded the Navy Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

ASC Jack Casey will be RCIC and have Flags and water on site.

Wake is from 1400 to 1600 hours (2:00 to 4:00 pm) with Military Honors to follow. Burial will be private at a later date.

We have again been invited to participate in the 8th Annual Veterans BBQ at the Westbrook Elks Lodge #1784. This event honors all Veterans of all branches of service.
We will stand a Flag Line as the Veterans arrive at the Lodge. There will be Veterans from CT Army National Guard, residents of Rocky Hill Newington and West Haven Veterans facilities, Homeless Veterans Shelters, Elk Veterans, VFW and American Legion Posts. The Ceremony begins with the arrival of the Veterans from 1100 to 1200 hrs (11:00 am to 12:00 pm). We will then join in for the BBQ Lunch.

We have been invited to again participate in a Stand Down for Veterans being held at Quinebaug Valley Community College in Danielson on Saturday June 9, 2018. 
Last year we attended and had a large turnout of Veterans including a larger number of Iraq and Afganistan Veterans that we normally do not see during the week. 
We will set up an information table and provide our brochures for the event which runs from 1000 until 1400 hrs.
