Sadly we are called to stand a Flag Line to honor Lionel H. Jones, A1c, US Air Force, an Aircraft Mechanic who served with the 529th Bombardmant /Squadron, Strategic Air Command in Plattsburgh Air Force Base, New York from March 1953 to March 1957. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

We will provide a Flag Vehicle Escort from the Funeral Home to the Church and then to the CT State Veterans Cemetery. We will stand a Flag Line at the Church and then at the Cemetery for his Interment with Military Honors.

ASC Skip Petras will be RCIC and Flags and water will be on site.

Sadly we are called to honor James B. DeLude, Sp-5, US Army, who served from 1968 to 1971 with the HHB 212th Field Artillery Group. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Expert Badge (M-16).

We have been asked to provide a Flag Vehicle Escort from the Church to the CT State Veterans Cemetery. We will also stand a Flag Line at the Church prior to the service and then at the CT State Veterans Cemetery for Interment with Military Honors.

ASC Jack Casey will be RCIC and Flags and water will be on site.

Alan G. Altmannsberger, A1C, US Air Force, served with the 99th Transportation Squadron as an Air Freight Specialist. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

“RIDE FOR INDEPENDENCE”

EAST HARTFORD AND BLOOMFIELD, CT

Patriot Guard Riders and Associates,

We are again invited to participate in the 7th Annual Motorcycle Ride For Independence fundraiser! The day begins at Gengras Harley-Davidson in East Hartford with registration from 0900 hrs (9:00 am) to 1200 hrs (12:00 PM), followed by a Police Escorted ride through the scenic Farmington Valley. The ride ends at the Fidelco Bloomfield campus with a BBQ lunch served by Black-Eyed Sally’s restaurant, as well as musical entertainment, vendors and demonstrations of service dogs. The Ride benefits the FIDELCO GUIDE DOG FOUNDATION, which provides service dogs to Veterans requiring them.

You can pre-register on line at the Fidelco web site or at Gengras on the day of the Ride. Cost for rider with or without passenger is $40.00. Cost for non-rider attendee is $15.00.

CT PGR will have 2 stages, one for set up at Fidelco and one at Gengras H-D. We appreciate help at Fidelco to set up our table and Flags on site.

SC Mac McArthurÂ (860-682-7625) and ASC Jack CaseyÂ (860-514-2332) will be Co-RCIC’s and can be called for any questions.
