Sadly we are called to honor John T. Szczygiel, SA, US Navy, a Korean Era Veteran who served from 1948 to 1952 on board the USS Sperry, AS-12 and the USS Chanticleer, ASR-7. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy “E” Ribbon.
We will stand a Flag Line for the family arrival and during calling hours. Interment will be private.
ASC Jack Casey will be RCIC and Flags will be on site.
The family is expected to arrive at 1500 hours (3:00 pm) and calling hours are from 1600 to 1800 hrs (4:00 pm to 6:00 pm).

We again have the opportunity to set up an information table at the Super Sunday Motorcycle and Auto Show, promoted by Don Clady, CT Cruise News, and the Terryville Lions Club. This will allow us to get our message out to a huge crowd, and possibly sell some of our merchandise.
Set up is between 0700 hrs (7:00 am) and 0900 hrs (9:00 am) with the show hours from 0900 hrs (9:00 am) to 1700 hrs (5:00 pm). I hope to get a number of members to volunteer to watch the table. You don’t need to be there the whole day. Any time you can donate will be welcome. ASC Jack Casey and I will be there. All help is requested.

We are honored to again be invited to stand a Flag Line at the Iwo Jima Memorial for the arrival of the Iwo Jima Survivors and the WWII Veterans. This is part of the Victory Ride and Poker Run which starts and ends at the VFW Post 511, 41 Veterans Drive, New Britain, CT 06051. Registration for the Poker Run is from 0815 1000 hrs (8:15 to 10:00 am). Rideras cost $20.00, passenger is $10.00. Walk-ins $15.00. Post ride lunch and DJ Entertainment. The Iwo Jima/WWII Traveling Museum will be here.

ASC Jack Casey will be RCIC and Flags and water will be on site. Early arrival at the Memorial is recommended, unless you will ride in the Poker Run.
