Norman served in the US Navy from 1952-1956 aboard the USS Gyatt. Norman received the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal.

We will stand a Flag Line at the church, an escort from the church to the cemetery and a Flag Line at the cemetery for Military Honors.

Sadly, we have been requested to stand for Eugene Eureka, US Air Force.

Eureka served in the Geodetic Survey Squadron in the USAF.

He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the USAF Good Conduct Medal, the USAF Outstanding Unit Award and the Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon.

We will provide a Flag Line at the cemetery for Military Honors.

Sadly, we have been requested to stand for Robert “Bruce” Fagan, US Army, Vietnam Era.

Bruce served in the US Army in Germany during the Vietnam Era as an E-3

Bruce was proud of his military service and was involved afterwards with many organizations and always wanting to help and connect with his fellow military brothers and sisters.  He was one of the founders of the non-profit, Skydive for Veterans and was the chairman for the Veterans Committee at Westbrook Elks for several years and many other committees, etc.

We will provide a Flag Line at the cemetery for Military Honors.

We are Honored to have been invited by Honor Flight CT to participate in the Escort and Ceremony for Veterans from WW II, Korea and Vietnam who are being taken to Washington DC to visit their respective monuments, many for their first time.

A flagged/PGR identified vehicle escort will start at Windsor Locks High School to bring the Veterans to the Airport for the Pre Departure Ceremony. Stage time is 0630hrs.

NOTE: ** See Update **   CAGES “VEHICLES” WILL BE ABLE TO PARK AT THE TERMINAL ONLY IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE.  IT IS NOT GURANTEED

.RC Greg Young (860-227-7525) will be RCIC for the Escort STAGE.

Morning Airport Stage will include a Flag Line for the arriving Veterans as they prepare for departure. A Pre Departure Ceremony will be held at the SOUTHWEST AIRLINES baggage claim area lower level door #2. Stage time is 0645hrs

RC Greg Karal (860-922-5559) will be RCIC for the Airport Stage with flags on site.

EVENING RETURN EVENT

Evening return Airport Stage will include a Flag Line for the return of the Veterans.  A flagged vehicle escort has been requested from the Airport to the High School if available. Evening Stage is at 2200hrs at SOUTHWEST AIRLINES Arrivals.

Donald served in the US Navy for 2 years with his last duty assignment on the USS Benham DD-796 (Fletcher Class Destroyer) as a Hospital Corpsman.

Wayne was a Vietnam Veteran and served three years as an Electronic Engineer Assistant.  He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and Sharpshooter M-16 badge.

Sadly, we have been requested to provide a Flag Line for Donald “Crusty” Moore, US Navy, Vietnam.

 

Don proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War as a mechanic repairing Tango River boats, among others. Don earned many awards, but was most proud of the Presidential Unit Citation which is awarded for extraordinary heroism in battle.  He was honored to be a member of VFW 7788, American Legion 196, Vietnam Veterans of America 251, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Assoc. Chapter 31-2, American Legion Riders Chapter 196, and Milford Veterans, Ceremony and Parade Commission.

 

In addition, Donald received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars and the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal with Device.

 

We will provide a Flag Line at the funeral home from 0900-11:00 hrs, an escort to the church, and a Flag Line at the Church where Military Honors will be rendered.
