Sadly we have been called to Stand in Honor for William Grosskortehaus, Radioman 2nd Class US Navy Cold War 1970-1974.
Significant Duty Stations include Naval Training School (Radioman) San Diego, Ca, and the USS OUELETT DE(FF) 1077.
Significant Awards include The Presidential Unit Citation, and the National Defense Service Medal.
We will Stand a Flag Line for the arrival of family and friends for the Memorial Service. 
SC Mac McArthur will be RCIC with Flags and Water on site.

ABOUT THE MISSION:

Patriot Guard Riders,

Once again, we are honored to be asked for a flag line at the RI Veterans Cemetery on Saturday, May 18th as brass players from across the state join together to honor all our fallen heroes.

We all have come to know Armed Forces Day as the annual Echo Taps Ceremony. Brass players perform an echoing cascade of Taps in recognition of the sacrifice our heroes have made for our country.

Sadly we have been called to Stand in Honor for Walter F. Gutzmer, SSGT CT Army National Guard  WW II, Manchester Police Department.
Walter served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Operations with the Anti Tank Company, 169th Infantry Regiment, 43rd Infantry Division as a Rifleman, serving in Guadalcanal, The Northern Solomon Islands, New Guinea and Luzon Campaigns.
Significant Awards include The Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon w/ 4 Bronze Service Stars, American Defense Service Medal, Purple Heart, Phillipine Liberation Ribbon w/ 1 Bronze Service Star, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
We will Stand a Flag Line at the Funeral Home for Memorial Services and at the Cemetery for Burial Services and Military Honors.
A Flagged Vehicle Escort has been requested from the Funeral Home to the Cemetery weather dependent. 
SRC Jack Casey will be RCIC at the funeral home and the cemetery with flags and water on site.

We have been invited by The New London Motorcycle Club to participate in their Annual Blessing of the Bikes at Ocean Beach Park. 
We will set up and staff an information tent for the event to distribute information and answer questions. We will also Stand a Flag Line for the Blessing along with the New London Motorcycle Club members. The Blessing will take place at 2pm.
SRC Jack Casey will be RCIC with Flags and water on site.  
Members that have flags are requested to bring them.
