We are Honored to have been invited to participate in the Westbrook Elks Lodge Veterans Program and Flag Retirement Ceremony.
We will Stand a Flag Line for the arrival of the Veterans and Guests.
We are also invited to lunch served by the Lodge.
The Flag Retirement Ceremony will occur following lunch. Members may stay for the ceremony if they wish.
RC Rob Migliore will be RCIC with Flags on site.

Significant Duty Stations include Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment 5307 Composite Unit aka Unit Galahad / Merrill’s Marauders in the China-Burma-India Theater of Operations as a Medical Aid Man.
Significant Awards include WW II Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon, American Theater Campaign Ribbon, Distinguished Unit Badge and The Medical Badge.
We will Stand a Flag Line at the Church for Services.
A Flagged Vehicle Escort has been Requested from the Church to The Veterans Rally Point Facility for Military Honors.
We will also Stand a Flag Line for Military Honors.

Members participating in the escort are requested to contact the RC.
Personal Weapons are not Permitted on the Veterans Rally Point Property.

As many of you know, the Mohegan Sun Casino hosts the Vets Rock event yearly at the Casino.  Due to the Insurance requirements imposed by the casino, CTPGR will not have a booth set up  this year.  Members are welcome to attend on their own.

We will Stand a Flag Line for the Opening Ceremonies. Members are Welcome to stay and enjoy the activities planned. Live music, Corn Hole Tournement, raffle prizes, and food will be available on site.

Sadly, we have been Requested to Stand in Honor for Robert Kulas, Firefighter.

 

In 1964, he joined the Suffield Fire Department working his way to Captain. He received Fireman of the Year; he was President of the Association and Carnival Chairman, and helped build the fire museum. He retired in 1999 after 30 years of full time service. He was known as “Captain Krunch”.

 

We will Stand a Flag Line for short calling hours (one hour), provide an escort to the church and Stand a Flag Line at the cemetery.

This is an Attend on Your Own Mission, so members are requested to bring their own flags.
