Cpl Cannata served in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theaters of Operation with the 860th Bombardment Squadron 493rd Bombardment Group, 8th Air Force as a Medical Corpsman in the Air Offensive Europe, Normandy, Northern France Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe Campaigns.
Significant Awards include The European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon with 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Service Star, American Theater Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon, and the World War II Victory Medal.
We will Stand a Flag Line for Calling Hours at the Funeral Home from 1pm – 2pm and a Flag line at the Cemetery at 3pm.
A Flagged Vehicle Escort has also been Requested from the Funeral Home to the Cemetery.
SC Mac McArthur will be RCIC and flags and water will be on site.
This Mission coincides with 2 other missions at State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown.

Sadly we have been called to Stand in Honor Charlie Odum, PVT US ARMY WW I and Richard Alan Chase PFC US ARMY Korea.

PVT ODUM served in WW I from 08/04/1918 to 01/10/1919. He was awarded the WW I Victory Medal. PVT ODUM passed in 1979.

PFC Richard A. Chase served in Korea with Company F, 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division as an Infantry First SGT.

Significant awards include The National Defense Service Meday, The Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, Unites Nations Service Medal, Republic of Korea War Service Medal, and 2 Overseas Service Bars.

Both Veterans will be Interred in the Columbari

at Ct State Veterans Cemetery 317 Bow La. Middletown, CT 06457.

Both Veterans have no known family so CT Patriot Guard members will be their family.

We will stage at CT Veterans Cemetery at 0830 hrs.

SR RC Don Camden will be RCIC and flags will be on site.

This mission is at the same time as the mission in Ansonia/Shelton. Choose which mission is best for you.
