Significant Awards include WW II Victory Medal, American Theater Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Medal w/ 1 Star, Navy Occupation Service Medal w/ Asia Clasp.
We will Stand a Flag Line for Cemetery Services and Military Honors.

A Flagged Vehicle Escort has been Requested from the Funeral Home to the Church, Church to the Cemetery.
We will Stand a Flag Line at the Church for Services and at the Cemetery for Burial Services and Military Honors.

Sadly, we have been requested to Stand in Honor for both Carol and Jack Casey for Carol’s calling hours and their placement in the Columbarium together at States Veterans Cemetery.

 

Both Jack and Carol were true Patriots, US Navy Veterans, members of CT Patriot Guard Riders and friends to many of us.  They will truly be missed by many, and it is our distinct honor to Stand for both of them as they make their final journey home together.

 

Our thoughts and prayers go out Ricky, Carol’s son, and to all the Casey family.

 

We will Stand a Flag Line for Carols visitation hour, provide a Flag vehicle only escort to State Veterans Cemetery and Stand a Flag line for the placement of Carol and Jack into the Columbarium where Military Honors will be rendered.

 

For those who will attend Carol’s visitation but not be part of the escort, you will leave 20 minutes prior to the escort to State Veterans for staging of the Flag Line at that location.

 

I will be the RC for Carol’s Flag Line and escort and Jennifer Houser will be RC for the staging at State Veterans Cemetery. Stage times for each phase of this Honor Mission are listed above.

 

Members are reminded that Personal Weapons are not permitted on State Property.

Sadly we have been requested to Stand in Honor for Brian Patrick Hayes SFC CT Army National Guard GWOT.  SFC Hayes passed away during Military Training in Georgia. (ODD)
Significant Duty Stations include the Army National Guard Fort Benning GA, CT Army National Guard as an Infantryman and  Military Police Operation Iraqi Freedom, later Assigned to the 169th Aviation Unit Windsor Locks, CT.   SFC Hayes was also a member of the 2nd Company Governor’s Horse Guard in Newtown CT.
Significant Awards include The Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terror Service Medal.
Day 1
We have been requested to provide a Flag Line at Bradley International Airport and Flagged Vehicle Escort to the Funeral Home on Thursday 02/03/2022.
SC Gregg Barratt will be RCIC for the Airport and the Escort to the funeral home.
No PGR Vehicles will be Permitted on the Airport Proper. Members are reminded that Personal Weapons are not permitted on State Property.
Day 2
Flagged Vehicle Escort has been requested from the Funeral Home to the Church and from the Church to the Cemetery.
Flag Lines will be held at the Church for services and for Burial Services and Military Honors at the Cemetery.
RCIC TBA  Members may attend at whichever location they choose.
