Sadly, we have been requested to stand a Flag Line for Domnic Tierinni, US Army, Vietnam.

I have not received the DD 214 as of yet but was made aware by the family that he served in Vietnam and his service was from 1968-1971.  He received the National Defense Medal and the M 14 Sharpshooter badge.  I will update this Hero’s service record once received.

His three daughters are friends of mine.

We will stand a Flag Line for calling hours from 1030hrs to 1200hrs, provide an escort to State Vets Cemetery, and stand a Flag Line there.

Sadly, we have been asked to stand for Albert Salvatore Cubeta, US Navy- Korea.

Albert served in the navy for 4 years aboard the USS Mercer (APB-39) as a “Ships Serviceman”.  He received the National Defense Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal ( Europe).

We will stand a Flag Line at the cemetery and ASC Steve Marcolini (860-334-4616) will be RCIC and Flags will be on site.

We once again have been asked by the CT Department of Veteran Affairs to participate in the Veterans Funeral escort and ceremony for 4 unclaimed CT Veterans.

We will provide an escort from Rocky Hill to State Veterans Cemetery.  Stage is 0800hrs, hearses arrive at 0830hrs and members should be prepared for their arrival and follow the direction of Greg Young, the RCIC for escort (860-227-7525).  The KSU for the escort is 0940hrs

We will stand a Flag Line for the arrival of the escort and for the ceremony. Stage is 0930hrs. The expected arrival of the escort is 1020hrs. RC Linda-Daley Liversidge (203-915-8259) will be RCIC and Flags will be on site.

We are Honored to have been invited to participate in the Veterans Luncheon being held at the Westbrook Elks Lodge #1784 142 Seaside Ave, Westbrook, CT. Veterans and Guests from various Residential settings, and towns are expected to attend.
We will Stand a Flag Line for the Arrival of Veterans and Guests. Members have been invited to have lunch as well.
RC Rob Migliore (203-815-9687) will be RCIC with Flags on Site.
Of note, this Special Mission occurs at approximately the same time as two Honor Missions the same day.  While members are encouraged to attend any mission they would like, we make Honor MIssions the priority for the families and the Hero.

Sadly, we have been requested to stand a Flag Line for one of our own PGR members, Kevin Eugene O’Day, CPO, US Navy.

 

Kevin proudly served his country in the United States Navy for over 22 years as a Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operator, retiring as Chief Petty Officer. He served on the USS L.Y. Spear (AS-36), USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69), USS Dallas (SSN-700), and the USS Henry M. Jackson (SSBN-730). He received numerous commendations throughout his naval career.

 

We will stand a Flag Line at the cemetery, then move to Jewett City VFW, stand a Flag Line for entrance of family and friends to Kevin’s Celebration of Life.

 

SC Gregg Barratt will be RCIC and have flags on site.

Sadly, we have been requested to stand a Flag Line for Albert Langlois U.S. Army-Vietnam.Albert served in the US Army from 1969-1971 as an infantry squad leader and was a Vietnam Veteran.  Sadly, he suffered from the effects of Agent Orange for many years.

He was awarded the National Defense Service medal, Vietnam Service medal, Vietnam Campaign medal w/60 DVC, Combat Infantry Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Overseas Bar Marksman (M-16) Sharpshooter (M-16) and Expert (M-60)

We will stand a Flag Line at the church.

Linda Liversidge-Daley will be RCIC and have flags on site.
