Sadly, we are called to stand for James Wright, U.S. Army, Vietnam.

James served as a mechanic in the US Army and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Parachute Badge and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal-Dominican Republic.

We will stand a Flag Line at the cemetery.

Sadly, we are called to stand for Mike Rogalsky, US Army/CVMA, Vietnam.

Mike served as a clerk typist in the US Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam war. He  was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal

Mike was a founder member of CT Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA). He was especially active in organizing flags and wreaths for graves in the CT State Veterans’ Cemetery, Middletown.  He was a member of numerous Veterans Organizations and served as Commander of City of Middletown CT, Council of Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam War.  He was named CT State American Legion Adjutant of the Year in 2015.  He received the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce William J. Pomfret Veteran Community Service Award and was honored by the Hartford Courant as a Hometown Hero.  He served on the American Legion Department of CT Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Commission and worked on the State Legislation Commission.  He was inducted into the CT Veterans Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

We will provide a Flag Line at the church, CVMA will escort from the funeral home to the church, we will join the escort from the church to the cemetery and provide a Flag Line at the cemetery.

Motorcycles and flagged vehicles are asked to be part of the escort from the church to the cemetery.

John served in the US Navy as an EN Engineman aboard the U.S.S. Sturtevant (DE-239)

 

We will stand a Flag Line for the calling hours which is from 1600-1700hrs at the funeral home.

 

At this time, we do not have an assigned Ride Captain so please plan on bringing your own flag.  Should this change, I will update the mission.

We are Honored to have been invited by Major General Francis Evon, to participate in the welcome home ceremony for 103rd Airlift Wing after their deployment to Africa.

Important note:  If you have not previously sent me the requested base access information, you will not be granted base access for this mission.  There are no exceptions.

Please ensure no weapons are on your person or in your vehicle, as all vehicles are subject to search.

We will meet as a group and enter as a group.  Please do not attempt to access the gate until directed to do so.

Please plan your arrival no later than 0915hrs and upon arrival, park to the immediate RIGHT of the gate until we are cleared to enter the base. Please contact Steve Marcolini or me with any questions.

His service was marked by integrity, leadership, and pride in the nation he served.
