Attend on Your Own Event Friday 09/11/2020 Southington CT 530pm Stage

We have beens asked to pass along the following info on an Attend on Your Own Motorcade event happening on Friday Sept 11, 2020. 
This motorcade is to Back and Support all the First Responders And will also be to Honor those who lost their lives on Sept. 11th.  

We will begin staging at Pilgrim Furniture and Mattress City 55 Graham Place Southington CT 06489 staging at 5:30pm and will end in Wolcott at the Woodtick Recreation Center 201 Nichols Rd Wolcott CT 06716. The motorcade will be a little over 1 hr. Covering Southington, Cheshire, and Wolcott.   

Flagged Vehicles are invited to participate.  This will be an escorted event.

We have been invited to participate in a Celebration of Staff and First Responders for everything that they have done for the Residents, Patients and families during these hard times.
There will be a luncheon at the facility as well.
This will be an Attend on Your Own Mission. Members should bring their own flags.
SOCIAL DISTANCING AND SANITIZING GUIDELINES WILL BE IN EFFECT  SEE YOUR RCIC WITH QUESTIONS. MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE SHOULD NOTIFY GREGG OR SKIP FOLLOWING THE EVENT FOR TRACKING PURPOSES.

Calling Hours are from 5pm to 8pm with Staging at 4pm and are Attend on Your Own. Members should bring their own Flags.
FRIDAY 02/21/2020
Flagged Vehicle Escort Stage  Members will meet at the Funeral Home at 9am.
Church Stage  Members will meet at the Church at 9am. We will Stand a Flag Line at the Church for Arrival of the Family and for Military Honors following Services.  Flags will be on site at the Church.
ASC Skip Petras will be RCIC for the Escort and Church Services.

Sadly we have been called to Stand in Honor for John B Torino LCPL US Marine Corps  Vietnam Era 1959-1962.
Significant Duty Stations Marine Corps Barracks Lakehurst NJ as a Rifleman.
Significant Awards include the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal.
We have been requested to Stand a Flag Line for calling hours at the Funeral Home on Tuesday and at the Church for Services and Military Honors on Wednesday.
Members attending calling hours can Stand for any period of time between 4p and 8p.  Members are to provide their own flags for both days.
There are currently no RC’s or Persons to oversee these missions. Members are Welcome to Stand for any part of these missions.

Hearts of Hope is a pay-it-forward program in which people paint clay hearts and send or deliver them to people and places in need of hope and healing.
                                             Please join us at a Hearts of Hope Painting Event

SRC Jack Casey will be RCIC.  No Flags will be necessary. 
Members are reminded that Personal Weapons are not permitted on State Property/School Property.
