Sadly, we are called to stand for Kevin Chausse, USMC.

 

Keith served briefly in the Marine Corps before receiving an honorable discharge on November 24, 1978. He also served as a first responder on the Winsted Area Ambulance Association for nearly a decade, and received the Attendant of the Year award in 1994. Following his time on the ambulance, he volunteered for the Red Cross, where he helped coordinate blood drives and community shelters. Keith was more recently a member of the Brotherhood of United Bikers M.C., wherein he helped organize a number of charity runs, most notably their annual thanksgiving turkey handout.

 

We will stand a Flag Line at the Church and Cemetery.

Sadly, we are called to stand for Frank W. Forrest, U.S. Army, Vietnam.

 

In 1968, Frank was drafted into the United States Army and served in Vietnam as a Chaplain’s Assistant. He earned a Bronze Star and brought home amazing photos and stories from his tour. Frank went on to advocate for service members, veterans, and the veteran community. He served as Post Commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 7659 in Glastonbury and Post 2083 in East Hartford. In 2017, he founded an organization called SOS Connecticut, an effort to collect and ship care packages to service members overseas—personally ensuring that troops knew their hometown was thinking of them.

 

We will stand a Flag Line for the Celebration of Life which is at 1000hs at the church.

Sadly, we are called to stand for Raymond Brown, US Navy, WWII.

 

Robert served in the US Navy as an Engineer aboard the USS Bashaw-241 Submarine and was awarded the Navy Occupation Medal.

 

The USS Bashaw-241, a Gato-Class submarine, conducted six war patrols in the Celebes, Philippines and South China Seas during WWII between 1944 and 1945 and later served in the Vietnam War.

 

We will stand a Flag Line at the cemetery.

This Hero was the father of a good friend of Rob Migliore and very sorry for the loss.

Sadly, we are called to stand for Michael Kycia, U.S. Army who passed at the age of 102.

Mike served his country during World War II, earning the rank of private first class. He was a member of Company C, 328th Infantry Regiment, in Patton’s Third Army, Yankee Division, from 1943 to 1945. Mike participated in the Northern France and Rhineland Campaigns, for which he was awarded two Bronze Service Stars in addition to the Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge.

We will stand a Flag Line at the Columbarium and Flags will be provided.
